The engine is set up with plyboad engine plates first to make adjustments easy
The alloy engine plates are shaped these are in 3 parts the link plate strengthen the front and rear plates and gives a secure place to mount the footrest and gear linkage
Engine plates finished off
Its getting there now just a few brackets to make the xr forks fitted well
The std conrod kit and piston are no longer avalible so i had to fit a 2006 kx250 rod and open out the crank cases and fit a 4mm spacer the piston is a 1985 rm250 with the inside milled out to take the kx small end
NEW HPI IGNITION SYSTEM FITTED AS I JUST COULD NOT GET IT RUNNING RIGHT ON ITS FIRST RACE AT BRISTOL A BIT TO MUCH TO HOPE 35 YEAR OLD IGNITION TO RUN RIGHT
First Ride at Bristol Ran ok but not as it should do reworked the timing and port angle starts a lot better  will see if it fast at swindon
finaly done cr250 exhaust fitted 22"rear wheel and runing on bp102 optimax
first corner at the pre75 british championships
the bike never missed a beet and went on to win all 3 heats and the final
inlet ported barrel decked and comp ratio taken upto 14:1
now running on methanol
New alloy manifold fitted to 39mm carb
Air filter out of harms way
Gear linkage made to work 1 up 4 down to help with down shifting into corners
